Nice way of greeting tourist when they visit Australia.
Bloody brilliant eh?

it's a risk most tourist boards wouldnt take and i like that. It'll make me remember it, and taps into the well known scenario we all have of making a big effort for a guest who doesnt quite realise it. Good work Aussies.

Its terrible.
"we've been rehearsing for 500 years"
WTF? because that's all the Aboriginal people are, a tourist attraction...

should I leave a tip after they spray paint out of their mouths onto their hands?

It just doesn't feel quite right to me... It almost seems like we're insulting the audience.
...and I'm used to the aussie vernacular. It works quite well in campaigns that need to be confronting - the "drink drive bloody idiot" one by TAC is great.
In this context - its a no from me.

I like it. How the hell did they pop a fs video on me like that? And the quality is nice too. Vividas?.. wtf

Interesting that Australians don't like it. I can understand that, due to the kind of cliched nature of it. As an advertising campaign, however, intended to generate income through external tourism, I'd be very suprised if it wasn't super effective. which is what it's aimed to do. I guess it's a toss up between how much the government wants to represent the country as it is or how much it wants to make money. The word 'government' actually answers that question.
