Hahahaha!

We stayed in the essex a while ago when I was up visiting the city. It was no frills, cheap, and close to downtown.
Here is always my studio if it is just one or two of you. I'm not cooking breakfast or anything, but its a nice place.

The W Hotel is incredible. I almost stayed at the Drake and am glad I didn't. The whole experience at the W is just incredible.

Is a Chicago get-together in order then?
:)

I have to recommend the Club Quarters on W. Adams. It is RIGHT down town, right off of Michigan Ave. I've stayed there half a dozen times, excellent accomodations, a great restaurant and pub connected to the main lobby.
Rooms start at $79 a night. Easily the best choice.

Ah crap.... what he said.

The Weston is nice too. I stayed there last New Years and it was a pretty decent price.
That is right downtown.

The Weston on Mich Ave. is nice and cheaper then the others.

Check out the W.
The Drake is nice but super pricey. You wanting to stay somewhere on Michigan Avenue? There are a ton. I think even a Hilton or Hyatt (something with an H) is downtown too and nice.
