- Rushmore0
why, whats up?

I've been thinking about slab serifs lately, and I think I like the Stymie family the best--particularly the custom version the New York Times uses.

I just used rockwell on a job, too. Not as nice as yours, though. So, what's the consensus? Which is better, serifa or rockwell? I want somebodoy else to decide so I can quit thinking about it.
- poomoo0
i think serifa is nicer than rockwell moreso in black
- Rand0
serifa it is
- kelpie0
I'm a rockwell man personaly, though I like the lighter faces of serifa very much.
each man to his own slabs I say...

the guardian font is;
Guardian Egyptian
designed specifically for the new guardian. doesnt seem to be available to buy. boo hoo.
- Rand0
I'm more confused than ever
- poomoo0
^^
haha! yeah the guardian one is a good one and id say it pips serifa black. but its not available so stick with serifa black.

plough your own furrow man.

Rockwell has issues when you're using the bold and Light weights together, visually when set at the same point size, the lighter weight appears noticably larger....
I still would use Lubalin Graph over any of the above mentioned faces...
- kelpie0
good point snuggs, Lubalin is nice, but for me it looks different to other slabs; like a revisionist version. depends what you're going for.
*strokes chin.
- Rand0
lubalin graph has a weird fuckin uppercase R, there, jim, n'est ce pas?
