how much do you have to put down for something like that???
i like that!!! 1200 is a nice size...

Yikes, only one unit available. Dumbo is known for being pricey - about the same as Manhattan. I'm looking for something for about $200k less..
- epill_0
im not looking but i know prices are ridiculous in the city as is, but what does one have to put down in order to get something like the one in the dumbo link?
- level2b0
Usually it's a 10% down payment. It also depends if it's a condo, co-op, etc.
I found a few places in Brooklyn that are 5%, which is rare..

level2b youre going to have ot go to like bay ridge or something for 200k! i cant even get soemthing in jersey where i live for less than 350;)

that dumbo place, if you put down 90K and assumed a mortage rate of 7% for 30 years, you'd have to pay $5,300 a month plus the $600 common fees with it, so you'd be dropping $6K a month. And since the basic rule is that your rent/mortage shouldn't be more than a third of your income, you'd have to pull down $216 K a year to live there.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

ooo lookit who it is :E
ahah!
i think its only on the 3rd flooor too!!

burn it down, buy it as a fixer-upper. hire illegal chinese laborers to rebuild it. sell it for massive profit, rinse, repeat.

brooklyn or what

hmmm, nice view.
i think it's right by West Elm in Dumbo. 900k... not a bad price for it if you are an ibanker.
