I've got a 2GHz iMac with 1Gb RAM. Mostly Photoshop/InDesign work, getting more into video (allbeit only with iMovie & iDVD for the moment)... Is it worth bumping up the memory to 1.5Gb or even 2Gb?
What ya'll think?

1gb is more than fine for those I'd have said - its what i run with on my G5 though if you get into teh video more it could be worth a future investment. 1 gb will do this fine though.

Thats what I thought... thought I'd run it past people again though – in the past people have said just stuff it full with as much as possible... figured that would be kinda unnecessary.
Cheers guys.

its only unnecessary if you are not going to use it, and vice versa.
that is always worth considering.

hmmm... my personal opinion is just get it now if you can afford it. You never know when you'll need, and when that time comes, you'll be checkin on the mail for it to get here.

RAM is cheap. Do it.
I put another 2gigs in my G5 for around $250. Everything runs smoother. If you are running Tiger or plan on upgrading to it, you could use the extra RAM.

there is no such thing as too much ram.
