Drum and Bass/ Jungle is derived from Hip Hop and Electronic. You may like that, and thats def not mainstream.

If you like your hip-hop, then you should check out some of the glitchy stuff. Stuff from Prefuse 73 and Dabrye is really good. They even have lyrics sometimes (from really good lyricists).
