You hate this shit, and now you're gonna eat it.

Maybe you should see it before you condemn it. It happened and as much as people want to forget it will be resurrected in all media. It is natural and human to do so.

this should be combined with the plot of Snakes on a Plane

I watched the trailer the other day.
I think it's terrible it was made, funded and will be viewed.
I haven't read all the posts in this thread but the first 10 and I'm assuming everyone concurs.

Discovery already aired a documentary on this a few months ago. Narrated by Kiefer Sutherland. I remember seeing the commercial for it for about 2 months before airing.

yeah, they fought back until they were shot down

here, I know, let's all ask Hollywood to make a movie about the terrorist bomb, totally done by Muslim Arab types, that went off in London recently and give the people who died a jab in their coffins.

The difference between this movie & Pearl Harbor is that Pearl Harbor the movie was made some 50 years after the actual event.
5 years is not long enough. When it passes into history, then I think MAYBE it's ok to make a film.

I suppose the jet fighters will appear in the sequel.

No one has mentioned the director of this film, Paul Greengrass. Two previous films he wrote about Northern Ireland, “Bloddy Sunday” and “Omagh” were very well done. I attended a screening of “Omagh” this year where he gave a talk after the show. He did not write or produce that film without majority concent of the families involved. It was a very touching film, well done, and all the families of the victims were very pleased with the end result – even those who initially opposed the film.
I like to think there is still an art to storytelling and film making. I’d prefer to see more work like the films Paul Greengrass has created in theatres before block-buster weekends of “Meet the Fockers” and the likes.

... that's not the point at all, duder... it's apparent via this thread that most people don't want this event in a film what-so-ever... the world is neck-deep in this 'terror' shit... not to mention the U.S. hasn't exactly 'heeled' yet.
It just seems like it's the wrong time for this.

heel - to calm down and sit obediently
or
heal - to get over it and repair ones injuries
because i doubt either will happen
- version30
personally, bring it on, if you don't like it, don't watch it, theres 70 other channels on cable
i still want to see the footage from inside the buildings showing the planes colliding and smashing through the glass
for some reason that footage has been silenced

(Jan 14 06, 10:28)I agree. But people also seem to forget about huge disasters and situations just weeks after they occur.
