(Dec 22 05, 11:33)It's crazy how many people I know that have moved to Canada or some place other than the USA b/c of this admin. There are tons of bands who do this as well...

Jevad nailed it. What really pisses me off is the people that believe the administrations lies.
I read somwhere that 35% of Americans actually beleive that Iraq was responsible for 9/11. SCARY.
Or people like my Cousin (who I love dearly) who tells me that it is our RESPONSIBILITY to trust the President and his decisions.

Look, as to my original point - when we find ourselves at a point when this administration can't even be bothered to go to a SECRET court to get permission to wiretap - like it can't be bothered - and then have the f*ckin' balls to say "Trust us, w eknow what we're doing and it's aiding the enemy if we tell you" (Hey, where ar ethose WMD's by the by?), well, let's just say I think we're dangerously close to proto-fascism..if you want to smoke some dope and pretend it ain't happening, go right ahead, it's a free country. You might think different when that door that hit everyone in the ass on the way out suddenly slams in your face when you want to get out...I guess I'm just ticked off that Americans seem to have some how forgotten who we are...

jevad is right.
- JazX0
sure, that's what happens when a person takes power. it's obvious. I don't see why a lot of people don't get that?
and as for any country outside the US. why would you want to support the US anyway? it's not so much that the US doesn't want to support your countries, but let me be honest, it's just that the majority of people could care less.
- kyl30
actually I think quite a few people care, just not the ones in power/controlling the right wing media.
- JazX0
you think people care about other counties in the USA or know where most of them are located?
I'm doubting that kyl3, not to be a prick. sometimes ignorance is bliss, and in most cases here, it is. no reason to worry about it for most. but that's of course the USA and the fact that we constantly need to harp on it. it's not as if other countries are any better in terms of that kind of stuff. you see where I am going with this?

Political catchphrase:
Bush=Nixon 2.0
:)

If everyone in the states was as apathetic as JazX, we would all be speaking a strange hybrid of German and Japanese.
- JazX0
Apathetic isn't the word. I'd say more or less Politically Agnostic and I don't trust polticians one way or another.
- mrdobolina0
But you basically are saying "why care" aren't you?
- JazX0
no, you misread me. people should care. it's just that they don't, imo. hey I could be wrong, but when you live in a super industrialized nation where most things that are provided for you are top-notch, why care? I'm not pointing fingers, just raising that point.
