ok, so I get my new board in the mail today in time for my trip to mammoth on friday, BUT check this out!
what the fuck!!!! I want to ride this instead of my old. I am calling them and sending them this tomorrow. What should I do?
say I want a new shipped regarless and just ride this one.
man I am sorta pissed. I know in the grand scheme of things its not a biggie, but shit.
- mg330
uh, yah, totally not acceptable.
- MrDinky0
dont ride it, they will say you rode and broke it

Can you get Nitro to have a local dealer near you do an exchange and have the dealer send it back?
That might have you on a new board for the weekend.
- algorithm0
serious?
- algorithm0
what sucks is no one carries nitro in san diego
- prophet0NE0
Are these guys near you?
- algorithm0
thanks, on hold with them right now
- jevad0
I've seen worse - a lot worse - it's not acceptable but that is totally still rideable. If you can sort it tell them you will ride it because you are leaving so soon but when you get back you will send or walk it in for a replacement
- algorithm0
do you think that will fly?
I agree it is totally rideable, I just didn't want to chance them saying I did it.

just got off the phone with a shop in mammoth , guy said a nitro rep is in town and to speak with him tomorrow. Maybe that will work.
- jevad0
See what they say - no harm in asking...and those photos show it has obviously never been ridden....
Nice pick btw...

fact is, they are a big company with plenty of money and it's not even a blip on the radar to replace this. if they have good customer service, they'll either have a dealer fix this for them or allow you to use it and provide a replacement like jevad said.
you forked out for a new board and you didn't get one. if they put up an excuse or a fight, you just have to tear them a new asshole and they will fix the situation asap. you see my wife do this - it's scary, but she can get a store to replace something and get us a discount for the pain and suffering in a heartbeat.
you have the leverage here, but you need to contact them asap.
- jevad0
exactly....well said...be foreceful - don;t take any shit - YOU are the customer and THEY are in teh wrong
- algorithm0
thanks all, good advice.
nicks and shit don't bug me , but fuck. Brand new? I want to nick it up.
I am gonna let them have it.
- jevad0
that's the spirit...
- sherman0
dude - thats crazy!
after all that work and research you end up with shipping issues.
theyll help you out.
- prophet0NE0
test the waters first though. be polite but all the while make sure they understand you are an important customer who is not happy and has been majorly inconvenienced. that packaging is unacceptable, no question.
get them to fix this, don't be an asshole with them, and they will bend over backwards every time.
- algorithm0
I know , right Sherman!
Yeah, i just emailed them. Was polite but kind of ticked at the same time.

keep us posted

Was it shipped right from Nitro tho?... last time I checked you couldn't buy straight from the manufacturer, Burton tried that one season and it failed horribly.
Anyway, your beef is with the shop that you bought it from... not Nitro, and yes your local Nitro rep should be able to swap it for a new one... we used to do it all the time when I worked for Forum.
