We will never please the world.
If Europe had it their way they would like to continue their relationship with Saddam so they can accept his bribes, have the US keep its borders open, not allow America to interrogate terrorists, not allow America to spy within its own country and not go to war with a country that has been warned for 12 years. Think about that.

It's a good discussion I think and have American friends both now in Canada and the US who would take the opposite of your viewpoint.
So it's not just outside the US but also within.
That said, it's just a discussion and some of my best friends might share the same viewpoint with you. Doesn't mean I wouldn't go for beers and let it spoil a good time.

1. First responders to New Orleans for Katrina
2. Kyoto Protocal (even if its a halfass attempt)
3. Aid to Africa and Afghanistan
*Bonus 4. Not getting involved with Iraq

(Dec 21 05, 15:23)Ok, we take what we like from other cultures living within the country, then make it about a 40 year or more struggle for them to gain equal footing...........
if that.........guess it varies by region.......

(Dec 21 05, 15:28)1.) Katrina Aid, that's BS, common folk and other groups such as the Red Cross were there long before CA. Thanks for coming, but you could have just stayed, wouldn't of mattered. Perfect example of propaganda lies and you believing them and feeling good about yourself. NO was a mess before that and will still be. It's neglected in terms of it's own internal maintenance, nothing to do with the Federal government. I'll give you 2, 3 and 4 though. Bravo, but then again I wouldn't bring up a thread on attacking CA.

First, if you read all of the thread me requesting that from Jazx was in direct response to him making the claim that the US HAD done all these great things.
Second, it may not make the Canadian administration movie stars but they:
1) ratified the kyoto accord
2) made the decision to follow international law and stay out of the iraq war

no worries, I wasn't really attacking you spiralstarez persay. I just find it funny that no matter what people do they always focus on the negatives. even outside of politics.
- JazX0
Ohh, I know you guys helped and maybe you were the first documented country to do so, which was very, honestly, nice of you. Just think it was all too f*cked up by then. I'm not supporting Bushie on that crap, that's for sure. NOLA is a wasteland. Been corrupt for much longer than Katrina. No need to go into it.

I am not so sure that you should be bragging about staying out of the Iraqi war.
I will remind you that WWII was very unpopular. Germany didnt attack the US, Japan did. People hated the US for WWII. Now it makes for funny French jokes.
We expect Europe to fail. They can't make a right decision to save their lives. History proves it. Canada we thought might know better then Europe. But it's not looking very good for them.
15 million Iraqis voted. :)
- spiralstarez0
agreed. People like to complain, it's what we do best :-)
I get only a few emails from people when we make a new website complimenting it, and a lot more than that complaining because they knew how to use the old one better.

alright. I'll really leave on a good note. I'm out. I'm just really pissed about the fact that my Fiance cannot even come and visit yet 5 Million humans, don't care if they are Mexican or not, get to come and live on taxpayers dimes sometimes. irritating to me. :(

Mexicans get a very bad name in the whole border problem. It really is South Americans too. Ever been to LA?

(Dec 21 05, 15:44)Well, I understand your frustration, but it's not like that at all.
Your girlfriend won't be allowed in the US just like those 5 million other people, the only difference is that they risk everything they have, (and I'm not only talking about money here), some of them including their lives. I understand the concept of keeping criminals outside, and I'm with you on that, but there is also honest humans like you and me, that might been here in the states longer than you have, and have their whole lfe here, family, job, home, children, then what?
If those people are not allowed here, tell me why should your girlfriend be allowed? if they are trying to do the right thing?
I once read this article about a couple (married) that had been living in the US for over 10 years, she was from germany, he was american, and they had a baby here.
She left to germany for a family issue then she was not allowed to come back, her wife and son where here, job, friends, everything.. that's not right.I hope you and your girl never have to go trough something like that... that's all.
peace
