Yes, we aspire to have some of the things you have, but in all seriousness...no offense...but we don't actually want to be exactly like you.
I know most of you guys respect everyone here. I'm just wondering if the coming election will change anything between the countries.

I'm an American and personally I think the total quality of Canada is about 2.5 times that of the US. If I ever get a job offer there, I'll take it.

That is ridiculous. I am so sick of the US. The country is so immature its pathetic. The boy king and his minions are running rampant like a teenage gang. Is Canada not allowed to have any other opinion rather than that of the US? Sounds like Imperialistic pressuring. Teenage peer pressure. "Oh your a wimp". I would do anything to get these freaks outta power.

it's your own fault if you listen to right-wing loud-mouths. Most people here in the states don't think like that.
Remember - the empty barrel makes the loudest noise

I like how Canada can't have any opinion of the USA. B/c otherwise we'll just be ignored. But...you're commenting on our country...and are angry...so how is that ignoring us?
Anyway, thanks for the ppl who actually make sense.

It's a precariously pushed nationalistic attitude. I know a lot of Canadians, some of my family members live in Ontario and there really is a culture of criticising America and Americans over there (some of it well justified). So I think the inverse is going to be true, and find a harsh voice from conservative/jingoistic Americans.

"Canada is a sweet country. It is like your retarded cousin you see at Thanksgiving and sort of pat him on the head. You know, he's nice but you don't take him seriously. That's Canada."
- JazX0
good point Mimio

Take that comment as you will but to me it's a negative statement, although many would think it's a good thing...
