what's a print guy like myself gotta do to get some simple html to display in an email?
i tried just pasting the plain html text into an email, but no go.
am i being naive?

I would just sign up to campaign monitor tho, pretty cheap and works really well.

just test the colors and if they match it should work

i must be missing something.
flipped over these links already.. i thinks its kinda more info than i need right now..
my html is just simply an image sliced into 4 tables.
i thought i could just send out the html email from my email client.. but i don't claim to know.

email = OS X Mail.

I don't know how OSX mail works but you should have options for sending as HTML and edit source to paste the code (it wont work by just pasting the HTML in the mail).

if your on a PC and have Outlook as your main email client.
Open IE> File>Send >Page by Email
should work

with OS X Mail:
open html doc in Safari, Command+I, opens content in Mail message.
hmm. that was too easy.

I'll save you some time horton.
email = OS X Mail = no html mailSimple. The very bain of my existence. Apple seem to get everything else right apart from things that are seemingly simple and it's not that they make a poor effort of it, it's just that they don't include the feature whatsoever.
I'd go with madison, use an online html email sender. May cost you a bit but it's worth it.
As a mac man through and through I've had to do this numerous times. On the other hand, do you have Virtual PC?...

embed your styles in the head of the html if youre using css.
some clients won't show the correct formatting with external stylesheets.

thanks for the replies.
i also found this app to assist with batch HTML emails on Mac OS X.. w/ 10 day full demo.
works pretty good.

I'd keep an eye on how many you send from your own mailserver too.. (a company I do some work for is still on aol's spam list)..
