When rotating an image in Flash, what are the best settings to reduce the 'pixel shift' when the image is rotated?
Jpg or png? Some new features in Flash 8 maybe?
Thanks.

No idea about flash 8, but if you want rid of jagged edges make the image slightly bigger than needed and then mask it.

how do you stop that wierd vibrating pixel thing when you're moving an image about with Flash? know what I mean?
- kelpie0
I'll try this again sometime when I can explain things like a adult ;) (sorry to steal your thread buddy).

I know what you mean kelpie. Use tween.as rather than the timeline. And don't move anything too slowly and without too pronounced easing out on it.
Does that make sense?
- kelpie0
yes, thank you very much.

what version is tween.as available from (if it's even an issue)?
- skt0
I will email you the one I use. I just add it as an include at the start of a movie. But I think you can integrate it into flash itself. Or something.

Try exporting as "Best"

even just putting _quality="BEST" in your first frame will help. If they're using flash player 8, it should look fine (even if you don't export as such). 7 will look somewhat slightly degraded and 6 and below will probably look shitty.

yeah, script it with tween.as..
