i got one, plus the av cable, and i'm right now watching photoshoptv on my television set...
there's a lot of good videoblog content for ipod, like rocketboom or chanelfrederator...
i have a list of my podcasts (video and otherwise) here: http://del.icio.us/nonlinear/vid…
what upsets me is that when you finish watching a video, ipod stops. there's no way to couch potato watching all the videos you downloaded, so. that's silly, and I dunno why the limitation.

I have the 60GB iPod with video. It's slick but I don't think someone should buy it as a video player. I feel that Apple released it to build the business model in iTunes. If the networks and studio embrace the business model, we'll see a better video player in the future.
I have used this for converting video with pretty good results.

Anyone disappointed that it is now just USB.

you should consider getting a tivo they just announced that soon youll be able to transfer any recorded show onto your ipod for free , im thinking of getting an ipod video cause of this but since i have a sec gen ipod i think ill go with psp but the only bad thing is the space for psp you need a memory card.

u dont need quicktime pro, i use a little app called iSquint ( free ), and it works perfectly ( avi -> mp4 ).

i love me blackie ipod video...it made my sullen, broke-ass trip home from vegas a fun ol' time. every family guy episode is sweeeeeet.
don't bother with paying for quicktime when someone's already made a nifty little app specifically for converting video. go here and be happy: http://homepage.mac.com/tylerl82…
go here to get the app to rip a dvd for yer ipod: http://handbrake.m0k.org/
granted some things take a while to convert, but just set it to work while you sleep and dream of watching glorious video when you wake up. if you're on windows, go find something else (like a mac).

Yeh it does take some time to format videos for the ipod. my buddy just got one and he thought he could just drop videos right into it like mp3's boy was he saddly mistaken!! He had to scrounge around for quicktime pro and then go through an complex conversion process, which even on his G5 took a while to do. Not exactly great if you want to put your existing mpg's on it.

can i tell ipod to give me a strip dance for me?
- Jaline0
it takes some effort to convert stuff in order for the files to be compatible with iPod Video.

my girl strips for me.
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.u can import any mpeg-4 to ipod thru itunes 6.0
others need to be converted via quicktime pro.
[anyone willing to give up a serial?]
