infacta group mail.
i own the business edition.
very good features, nice import functionality. also you can set delay on each sent mail so spam filters dont pick it up as bulk mail.
from my knowledge this is the industry standard for stand alone apps.
hope this helps.

that looks like a pretty great tool, although only for Windows (boo).
any suggestions for os x tools?

i would invest in a standalone app. most of the online systems charge a membership and a token system per email, which can get spendy. Plus you do not have full control over your list managemnt etc.
group mail is nice b/c you can jack into a ms ssql/ my sql db and pull down your list.
if you get in a bind and want me to blast the email for you let me know.
peace

A word of advise - do not send big runs 500+ thorugh your own setup with a standalone app - our mailservers IP has only just been removed from AOL'S spam blacklist + we rang a few bells with our isp...
We now use campaign comander though email vision.
http://www.emailvision.com/
for runs of that size & up.
They also have a handy spam rating/checker thats linked up to Spam assasins db.Hope that helps..

hey milo.
if you set your app to delay 5 seconds after every 3 sent messages you should be fine. Aol is a nightmare though, at work we got blacklisted and our server crashed from all of the bounces.
