any specials going on right now?
like a "buy a bundle, save a bundle" sort of idea?
i might want to get my mom a laptop and am curious to see if there are any deals out there.

you want an apple deal?
Buy your apple, somewhere else, for example Fry's.
Apple care is 300 for 3 years.
Fry's will give you complete coverage for 5 years for 150 bucks!
no questions asked, they will replace your computer or fix it, and they will send you another one while it's being fixed..

gpop, any experience buying refurbed apples?
there seem to be some pretty good deals in that piece.

you're not really going to get a deal for buying 2 macs at the same time..
your best bet is to use the purchase as leverage to get discounts on all the 3rd party extras.. printers, ext drives, ect... the retailer has more room with margins to knock the price down on these items.

(Oct 24 05, 08:58)Hello Anzellna, Both my macs (old g4 tower and ibook are refurbed. No real problems or at least nothing you woudn't get with a new one. Much cheaper.
