hi, i have 2 options atm, to hire some pro stage lights ($80 or to go buy some flood lights ($less) for a photoshoot on some food. I'm thinking the pro stage lights are too overkill for it. are flood lights pretty much the same colour?

just do a custom white balance and should be ok. might need some diffusers with flood lights....

there is def. a difference in colour, but white balance should probably do the trick

flood lights might be too hot for food photos. You may be better off with flash. After a while food can look pretty awful if its been sitting under hot lamps. Depends on the food you're photographing and your circumstances.

I just did a photo shoot for food and wished I had hot lamps to brighten the scene and keep the pasta warm as it look really stodgy when it went cold
