Sure, something will be done asap...thinking just a list down the left...infact on some art sites you see like a 50 pix square detail of the work, anyone know a prog that will take a chunk out of my work to use as a link?

photoshop

;)
though you could batch process a bunch of your work with a cropping action?
- de4k0
yeah I use swatches for my work.
you could easily make mini thumbs with a batch command but they can look wanky, thats why I plumped for swatches.

hey, happy birthday! Yeah that crop thing is ok but I just end up with white space...need to be able to select a square...too lazy to photoshop each one!
- kelpie0
well your pretty screwed then ;)
- craigatkinson0
yeah, nice site just looked. How do you do the swatch thing, as you can tell I am a genius with comps!
- de4k0
lazy fuck.
selection tool
fix the aspect to 5x50pixels select the detail you want.you'll be done in ten minutes.

yeah, thanks for the vote!
I only just tought myself rdreamweaver so it's been an uphill ride but I'm there now, that's why I can't be arsed doing anymore...guess I'll have to though! Need some work now too, know of any good work outlets?!
- kelpie0
nice site de4k.

I concur

thanks fellas
Craig; I was in the same position as you 12 months ago.
I taught myself dreamweaver, and got my work up there.
In march i learnt flash, just so I could have some smoother transitions etc. But believe me I put the hours in even though its a simple site.
so dont be a lazy bastard, that wont get you anywhere. I like your work, but you have to sell it.
If you are planning to freelance, most of your business will come through your site, and they WILL BE lazy. Imagine an art director flicking through 100+ sites in a an hour looking for the right guy/gal, if its not obvious where to see your work, he/she is not gonna bother, trust me.'Cant be bothered' is so 1992 anyway.

Holly, a friend of mine has work of a similar style.
You should check her stuff out

Yeah sure, I was only messin anyway...I'm far from lazy really. I see you have a fine art degree too. I'm oding my masters at the moment but a bit fed up with the whole idea of 'fine art'...rather it was just a masters in making stuff...would be much more interesting! Thanks for advice etc...will check your friend now

That stuffs cool, nice work. It's that deer again!!! why do so many people draw deers, maybe I'll draw one later!
- de4k0
yeah the stag thing hah
classic.*quickly rubs out antlers
but seriously, the fine art thing did get a little too pretentious for me too, but it still informed a lot of the stuff I do, and I understand my work more as a result.
Go at it dood!
- craigatkinson0
so now it's a horse...this years deer!
so how do you get work then?

Clicking on images withoiut providing some reference of how many images are in a section
is not an intuitive way to display your work
