In case anyone wanted info on those dogs, we were working on the house next door to them. The owner left them for 2 nights with no food or water. I'm a big dog lover, so rest assured, i was over there giving them tons of junk food and water...pretty sure the owner was always negligent to them though. So sad.

that pic is soooo gross!
I have a Weim that I rescued from oblivion. Poor guy was left in the woods with a rope tied around his neck. He chewed thru it luckily and got away. But, he still has these weird issues. He will not come into the kirchen when we are cooking. He is sooo afraid of it. Someone must have burned him.
These dogs need help.

I don't see what's "gross" about that picture. They need to eat every day, but two days without food doesn't mean their malnurished or in grave danger.

no water, not enough chain to lay down comfortably, over 110 degrees man...not to mention one of the dogs had a massive gash in its side.

Awesome... there should be more like you.

didn't see that they were chained up.
Wonder if that was the safest thing to do? Unchained, at least they could run and flee like animals do in that situation, but the owners might have lost them.

nopattern. take the dogs and give them to a shelter. seriously.
say you found them 20 miles the opposite direction from that bastards house.

kona, I think the owners arrived back and I imagine the dogs then had food and what they needed.
It's a tough call. Personally, if the owners evacuated, they should have taken the dogs with them.
Makes me really sad to think of a dog having to be chained up during a storm like that. I hate seeing animals look sad or scared.

the owner came back, his neighbor's (whose home we worked on) said they knew he'd be back but didnt realize it would be a full 2 days. i just made sure they had food and water
