What's the best way to present your online portfolio at an interview? All my work is flash/web stuff, should I put it on a CD or Print it or just hope the interviewer has internet access at the interview?

Personally, I'm rubbish at being a designer, but I saw a chap had a nice A3 portfolio with A3 paper inserts showing nicely laid out screen dumps of websites he'd done. It kicked ass.
When I'm a grown up, I'll do that too.

do both, it worked for me. Sent them an email inviting them to look at an online portfolio in advance and then bring stuff along for the interview, in case they not seen it or just plain forgot.

Make an auto-launching cd with your webwork on it. I also agree that printed screen shots are just as practical.

from experience- companies want the urls in advance - and they basically narrow down your skills based on that - after that they are hiring for personality and how well you would fit in to the organization.
But always be prepared - print off a few screens from each project so that you can walk them through and discuss what you have done on it.
as for a cd.. from experience, and what i have heard from others, people just dont have the time to sit and watch. Plues, they have already seen them, thats whay they brought you in for an interview. they want you in and out so they can get onto the next person and back to business. Printed shots are the best. Have one on hand for sure though, you never know.

CD-ROM
Call the interviewer and ask him to have a projector and laptop ready.
done.

ps. good luck, and never bet on internet access. you might get thrown into a shoddy kitchen or room with no access, and what happens if the internet happens to be down.

Do all those things, but if the person interviewing you doesn't have internet access, you should be concerned about him or maybe the company.

especially if its in someones basement.

thanks for all the advice, great!

Why not tattoo your best work all over your torso? That way you'll never forget it, and you'll make a hell of an impression...
(realistically bring print and cd-rom with you...)

I disagree with printing screens of websites, it's like showing print online where you can't hold it and pick up on the small details. I would bring a laptop or a tablet, with a slide presentation of screens and have them link to local copies of the actual sites.
That would impress me as an interviewer.

there is just no time to look over interactive work - that is usually not the point of the interview. the interviewer would have seen it all already, that would be the reason why they are bringing you in for an interview.
take screen shots to talk about them. much easier - plus you make everyone love you since you arent wasting their time waiting for things to load.
