Has anyone ever had any success with creating a template for a client where you would provide the electronic file and they would create data sheets for example?
If so what application did you use, Word??
And finally, any success doing this across platforms (mac to pc)?

I do templates in InDesign, for other users, who in turn I also had to teach them basic usage of the program too.

for all the paper systems I design, I include a word template to go with the cover, and also the second sheet. And I include the fonts.
I'll type out the first sentence so they stick with the point size i want them to use

Make it easy for the client. I would just use word, the less they have to do and learn the better. Thats how I feel about it word is easy just use a TNR font so you wont have any problems there.
PDF's are ok unless you have to edit lots of stuff later on.
