dear (mt) if you're out there, try not to have your entire network crash and burn for hours.
Seriously, that looks really bad on you.
All my love,

(Sep 14 05, 02:38)You should have worded it like this.
"Dear MT, can you please keep the entire lower half of California from having a blackout again so I can keep downloading my porn and talking to my online 'girlfriends'?"
I got an email too from another host, not MT, they asked the same thing. Some b.s. about a new law or something. Fuck that putting your real info in your domain.
5 years ago, maybe. Not today where there are too many fuck-os/

If memory serves me correctly, opensrs contacted me last year to get me to update my ssl with them after it expired 'on mediatemple' last year. I contacted MT about this, only to find out they knew nothing about them saying they use a company called 'geotrust' to provide SSL.
I might have that completely wrong, mind - i do smoke a lot of weed.

I have noticed that some Registrars from time to time, do send out update requests for your contact details on your domain. IF you registered your domain name with mt, you might have truthfully got one, you dont have to do anything about it, but if you want to update info, i would suggest calling them just to check in and see if it was truthfully sent by them, and not a whois.dir surfer collecting emails.

de4k...
(mt) has a 24 hour support line, call them to see if this was a hoax.
i didnt receive anything other than 3 emails about los angeles loss of power.
i suggest you call them directly.
i never deal with third party companies when handling my perrsonal info.
especially with the identity theft of today everyone is sussceptable to easy crimes.
call mt!!

yeah no fear.
I've done a few checks on that domain though and it seems genuine.

Yeah, in the meantime don't put in any details...
(mt) if you're out there, help a brother out!
- de4k0
thanks chip.
maybe if (mt) are watching they can look into it.
- Chip0
looks like a hoax...
I got nothing.

I should add that I was asked to confirm my data here:
- de4k
anyone else had a request from Media Temple to confirm their whois data?
I can alter my whois data within MTs control panel anyway, so why should I enter details elsewhere?
