Why dont you put up your real name by the way mate? What the f*** is JazX? Is that your stage name? Yep I'm a European and proud - this is where civilisation started and this is where it will end mate...
Bye y'all!

Check out the rest of the world?? Get a life! How many Septic Tanks (Yanks) have got passports? Even your president has no idea about the rest of the world - apart from the bits with oil underneath. You ever been to Europe or are you writing this rockin on your porch eating a corn dog??

I just would like to point out that although you guys are absolutely right. It is incredibly distgusting the actions of these ppl in New Orleans, those ppl only represent a very very small portion of the citizens of this country and the news has done a great job of reporting about the horrendous things happening in New Orleans time of need but there has been countless reports of remarkable courage and local citizens coming together to save strangers/citizens of New Orleans. Lets not concentrate of the bad news coming out of New Orleans. There is quite enough of that and tons more waiting to be spewed out in the air but now is not the time. Your opinions are true but also prejudice. The majority of the ppl in New Orleans and the entire nation are good ppl. Your angry words are just angry words.
- JazX0
exactly arinya.
like fleas in a forest, percentage wise.
amazing what you guys in other countries think of your average American
actually mind blowing

Racist?? Thats great coming from a Yank who 2 mins ago reckoned I was talking typical Euro bullshit.... The US is the most divided country on the planet - and the most hated. This hasn't happened by accident. Your media is the most censored and your citizens the most brain dead. And by the way, Bush is a pretty accurate reflection of your average Red Neck. Knows fuck all about fuck all and never will. I pity you.....

I think the problem with this thread, and most of the political threads on this site, is that people are trying to make sense of the worlds problems geographically. Amrica is not the problem, Europe is not the problem, Africa, So. America, Asia, are no the problem.
We are living in a global environment, where the wealthy Americans and the wealthy Africans have more in common with each other than there poorer countrymen.
The people who most benefit from the current economic power structure also benefit from the extreme nationalism because it allows blame for the unfairness and inequality to be targeted elsewhere.
New Orleans is an example of that unfairness and inequality, but to think that it could only happen in America and not in your own country is naive.
We should all be on the same side fighting the real enemy instead of fighting each other over where we were born.
Thats what I think anyway.

"Your opinions are true but also prejudice."
prejudice comes from ignorance, not knowing enough. and yes, i may not know all, but i have seen more then enough.
Other countries in the 1st world have got their problems, but i have never witnessed such a blatant example of failing society in the past decades as i do see in the US of A.

Hi arinya! We just find it mind boggling that the nation that preaches morals etc to the rest of the world is so deeply and shockingly divided - hypocritical and lots of people outside the US are sick of it. Thats why yanks everywhere are viiewed with suspicion at least and hatred in the most extreme cases

Trousermouse,
Hopefully someone else corrected you in the 108 posts above...
But the hurricane that hit New Orleans has nothing to do with the Kyoto Protocol. Hurricanes have been happening forever, every year. You cannot draw a line directly from global warming to a hurricane hitting a coastal US city.
With that said, I too do hope that Bush gets it together and does something about all the pollution the US puts into the air. We're ruining the earth and he could care less. It sucks and makes me sad.
- neil_clark0
Thanks mate! We Euros are into that kinky shit!
- mrdobolina0

"But the hurricane that hit New Orleans has nothing to do with the Kyoto Protocol. Hurricanes have been happening forever, every year. You cannot draw a line directly from global warming to a hurricane hitting a coastal US city."
Actually it has been pointed out by several -independent- scientists across the world that indeed it is not the only cause, but it is absolutely part of the problem, that thing is certain.
hurricanes this strong only occur when the ocean is of extremely high temperature, and indeed, the Gulf of Mexico is in some areas about 30 degrees celsius, well that is extremely hot for seawater.this is caused by a complex alteration in streams of seawater across the world which is influenced by global warming..and so on.

Yes I have mate - I've been to almost every state east of the Mississippi working as a driver for a car repo company after I left college. That was in 88 and in some parts of the south I felt like I was in huckleberry Finn times. For a European, the racial divides and general ignorance of the outside world was staggering. Have you ever been to Europe?
