A client of ours has recently offered a free week's stay at their "guest home" in Spain if we provide a financial incentive.
The place is gorgeous. A hilltop villa on the Mediterranean...
How much of a discount would you give for this?

maybe a grand or 2?

maybe check out the prices of Villas in Spain and see how much that would cost for the week and then work from that amount.
also depends on the job your'e doing. if it's maintainance, redesign etc.

keep in mind his payments on the guest home are being made regardless of you.
so your accepting this offer is only SAVING him money
and what would getting there cost in terms of travel?
is it worth it?
to me only if you have someone you think truly deserves going
but like i said its saving him money either way
so not much of a financial credit if you accept is my advice

^ version3 hits nail on head.

Yeah, how much is it worth to you, is the question.

it sounds like you're dealing with a complete tool

the "1G/ 2G" & "week of free work" suggestions are retarded!
what v3 said... your doing this guy a huge favour by taking up the offer, its probably a time share and he's trying to ditch some off-season accomodations.
as a ref i have a client who offered me access to his time-share deals, without any work trade-offs or hitches.
i'd say no thanks.. and tell him if you do want to go to spain down the road you'll give him a call and get the rates.
