I'm interested in wireless speakers, but I don't want to sacrifice quality of sound. I also don't think it's worth it if I have to use batteries.
This is the only pairl I've found so far.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

I was where you are a few months ago, only I wanted wireless speakers for my tv and dvd instead of the computer. After a week of investigating, I learned that there aren't any good ones. Apparently nobody has figured out how to get decent sound wirelessly unless you want to pony up 4 figures for hitech prototypes.
Anyway, I hid my cables in the wall instead and whenever I have people over I say NASA made them work without cables. Gives me plenny cred, yo.
Good luck with it though :)

I was just hoping to use them for the stereo not the computer, but your advice still hold. Thanks.

Hey Cy
I was looking a few months back and there are just NO good options that are under several thousand dollars. I'm really surprised - I mean what about bluetooth?
let me know if you find anything decent - I'm looking for a good set too for the stereo/tv/dvd....

I don't see why wireless speakers would be worth it at all when you could drop that extra money on some nice new paradigms or something.. Wireless shmireless.

Because then you don't have to fuck around with nasty cables

you're probably going to have to wait another year or so before bluetooth wireless speakers get within consumer range. BT only reached 2.1mbit/s last year.
but really, powering speakers isn't easy. without enough strong, clean power, speakers will go distortion crazy no matter how cool looking they are :) without a revolution in batteries, i'll keep buying wired speakers.

seriously, the real high fidelity speakers will never be wireless. I'd rather drop a shiteload on electrostatic speakers instead. Mmmm, omnipresent.

they look like toys. i'd expect them to sound like shit if they had wires.
