What was your username?

whoa, blast from the past. I was just thinking about SF the other day though.
I was AJB. Who were you?
- era4040
I was "Don". Very inventive, I know. What was the name of the girl avatar in there? And the robot?
I remember vtwo ruled the place. Oh, how I idolized him...

what was shock fusion?
- Visia0
oh man, you're even talking about SF 1.0. I don't remember the names of the avatars anymore. They were cool though.
yeah, I remember vtwo, mrb, lukenalker, et al. In the beginnning it was really kickass but by the end it really sort of just faded away.
Man I spent a lot of time there.

It was a cross between Newstoday and Actionscript.org. Very community oriented. Focused on Flash Design/Development.
- Visia0
it was a flash developers board. Built entirely in flash by Fusion Inc.
At the time (1999) it was freakin' amazing what they did with Flash and PHP. A lot of really kickass developers hung out there. 2.0 was really cool as well but by then everyone had become sick of waiting for the board to load so . . .

How could I forget Mr B? Damn, guess i'm a polytheist. They both were gods.
I was such a n00b back then. Mostly lurking, posting tyro questions: my director rollover isn't working, what does onion skin do? hee hee
Makes me feel old now.
- Visia0
no shit. I started hanging out there right after I got kicked off the MM Flash newsgroup about 2 months into starting with Flash. That was in 1999. I do feel old now.
- era4040
how'd u get kicked? i always thought SF was better than the MM group. How old are ya?
- moldero0
so wheres a good flash dev board these days?
- era4040
actionscript.org. but it's not as community-focused.

that was a blast from the past. I think my user name was "thehybrid"
I met those guys down in San Francisco at the 2000 Flash Forward festival. They were taking answer from the crowd and after their presentaiton they had a bunch of people come up and talk to them and I overheard one of them say "probably not, becasue we only touch stuff that is 100k or more"
They did have narrow little business cards that were pretty hip though.
