For those out there, especially freelancers, what do you feel are the questions or comments potential new clients receive best, during that crucial initial meeting?
In turn, what do you find potential clients are asking most commonly of you today?

ask them questions which make them consider their ideas in a new light. ie, questions that challenge them to think in a new way. they will respect you for it.

4, What expectations do they have for the website it terms of what it can achieve
5, What five adjectives would you want a visitor to your redesigned site to use when describing it?
That is, what are five qualities the redesign should embody?6, What five adjectives would you NOT want a visitor to your redesigned site to use when describing it? That is, what are five qualities the redesign should not embody?
7, Who are your main competitors?
Which qualities of their current web designs should we emulate?
Which should we avoid?8, Could they list the site structure including extra elements they feel are missing from the current site.
9, Do they have a specific deadline i.e. an event they are working towards.
10, Who is the site currently targeting & who would the redesign target.
