HAH mg33.
i bought some lil bells for decorating for xmas. i took my cats collar and decorated it one year with flowers, bows, and like 20 huge bells.
when i put it on her... she basically had a battle with herself with all the noise.
that + putting the jingle cats album on... and she went absolutely fucking bananas because i have surround sound in my living room. i think she thought an army of invisible cats were after her.

Everyone does weird stuff to cats.
We had a cat that had kittens in college, and we kept one of them along with the mother. Put them both through all kind of "training."
Training, you say?
Yep. We'd balance them on top of doors, put them up above the ceiling fan blades with the fan on full blast.
The best was putting a barstool upside down on the floor, with another right side up stacked on the legs, with a laundry basket on top about 5 feet high, with a cat in the basket.
It would make the slightest movement and do that thing where it looked like a Halloween cat to balance itself.

disclaimer.. somebody at my old job bought me jingle cats as a joke gift. i did not buy it.

thanks shel!
i know..can't believe it's been 2 years allready either...
still blows my mind that my wife and i are actually parentsi'm totally not ever gonna be prepared for when she becomes a teenager...but i suppose i'll just have to get used to the idea...
and the thought of striking fear into the hearts of young teenage guys calling on her does make me grin..
;)
cheers and thanks for the compliments on Maya..
i'll give her a hug when i get home and let her know ya'll think she's a cutie
;)

i was taping up a box and had duct tape laying face up and my cat walked onto it.. he freaked out, shaking his foot trying to get it off for 10 mintues... it was pretty funny

Wrap a cat in Scotch tape, they love that!

i built a desk and painted it mint green. i didnt think she would do this, but my cat went up on the table and fell asleep and almost dried to it.
i had to repaint the table and it was plenty of a bitch to get the paint out of her hair.
i also shower my cat often because im allergic to the dander. cats dont hate water so much if you start that when theyre babies.

I've always thought it would be cool to fly a kitten in a model plane.
- shellie0
mg wtf?
i guess pray for safe landing.. and get it a kitty helmet and pilot goggles.
- mg330
As long as they're light enough why not give them an experience they'll never forget?
- shellie0
i suppose thats not as bad as the time i tied my kitty to model train railroad tracks
- mg330
I just wish it were possible to walk cats at a decent speed. Train them from when they're little to run alongside you in the park.

ever seen a cat on a leash?
- shellie0
craziest thing. my neighbor does that. one day seeing him outside walking his cat. you expect to see a dog.
- kld0
ever seen a kid on a leash? now that's effed up.
- shellie0
yes.. and recently.
and you know those dog leashes where you can adjust the slack of the lease with a push of a button.. so you can let them run ahead a bit or pull them in right quick. i saw one of those attached to a kid harness.
if i hadn't spent so much time staring in awe, i might have hit the lady in the head with my purse. it was so weird.

mind boggling

sounds like phillip the hyper hypo
my friend used to walk her cat around on a leash... she had to get it one that went aroudn the neck and around the legs because the cat would get out of the normal one all of the time
- shellie0
yeah yeah. those body harness ones. my roommate tried to get my cat to do that... but all she would do is walk backward. it wasn't very productive.

my cat would probably be into it... he acts like a dog - plays fetch, rolls over when you walk up to him, wags his tail
