(Aug 10 05, 05:17)I like the unsolicited "hot college girls are online waiting for you right now" approach.

i'm not sure the traditional techniques work these days with so much out there. I believe [heard it on the grapevine and I have no real interest in this industry, at all by the way ;)] that buying up domain names relating to the lastest sex scandall is a sure fire way of getting traffic. but ya gotta be quick. www.paris-suckin.com may have gone!

my 'friend' set one up and let me tell you the hell of it.
omfg. the sh!t tons of ill porn content that we sorted thru to produce the site - changed me... i mean my friend...the pitfall that got us in about a $14,000 dollar ISP bill trouble was when someone registered for the site then shared it on the password trader sites, and then all of the sudden our bandwidth went from like a gig or so a week to like a terrabyte in a day. people were snaking the site and sucking down every last image they could find. it was rude as hell. i have never seen such traffic as this. and the pain was we were getting the monthly of ONE user. that shared his name out and then the war was on. we had to kill the user id and the traffic was still wacked... people had hacked all into it and instead of rebuilding it. we killed it. thank gawd the isp account wasnt on MY CREDIT... whew.

We're developing a server based security system that will snoop for multiple logins on one account, we're not allowing http://username:password@ and not checking IP addresses as these can be spoofed

good luck. where are you going to get your content? there are content providers that you can use that charge a small fee for the service, i would recommend doing something like this if you are not going to have original content. no one likes a laws suit.

Its all being shot, no rubbishie duplication of content) a gallery for every day of the year (40 images per gallery)
