Hi people, I am looking for a vibrant electric blue, I have the web safe colour version (#00CCFF), looking through my Pantone swatch book I can't seem to find a similar colour, anyone have any ideas.
I know that print will not be able to get as vibrant colour as it looks on screen, can anyone give suggestions as to how I can get it as close as possible?
Thanks.

Take your swatch book and hold it up next to the screen. Find the color that matches it best, and there you have it.

801 c aint too bad, is the way of getting more vibrant print results, would this involve getting away from the Pantone Swatch book and what are the cost complications.
Thanks/.

If you use coated paper you will find that is is pretty vibrant - try toyo inks - those can be pretty bright

Couldn't find the Pantone flourescent but I did find info on Hexachrome which sounds good:

Sure - fyi, hexachrome is basically a process to acheive more saturated colors than 4 color process. It's 6 color process, thus richer. Flourescents are probably the way to go but you may need to get a custom ink mixed. I'm not sure, but a lot of times flourescent inks require UV presses. Make sure that's within your budget and the press capabilities.

Thanks testpilot, the budget is a little tight, ts just for some business cards for my new media design stuff.
I will check with my printer, you've been a big help.

I did a little research and you can use them on traditional presses but the colors can require two bumps of the color to acheive full saturation. Check with your printer and get their advice.
