I just had two quotes to get folios printed on a digital press. One price was more than double the other. These are the two presses that the companies use. Can anyone who knows about this stuff tell me if one is any better than the other??

i used to run a docucolor when i worked at kinkos and worked at a printer last year that ran stuff on an indigo.
you're going to get excellent quality from both. the docucolor runs on a CMYK and they were running a CMKY+purple and orange (hexachrome uses green, so i'm not sure what this is) most of the time on the HP.
both are pretty limited in the substrates they can print on, having to run on digital-specific stocks, but i think you'd be happy with either.

Thanks MLP.
The indigo pricing was $130 and the 6060 was $390. But since then they re-quoted me $210. Think im still gonna go with the indigo however. I cant see there being an $80 difference in quality.

yeah definitely not an $80 difference... judging by the longer runs and "quality" jobs i've seen run on an indigo, that'd be my choice. they were running a lot of one-off custom direct mail pieces on there with this crazy database system.
docucolor is expensive as hell to run, so that makes total sense.
