Anger with asp

I have this client who lets this tech idiot set him up with web hosting and of course he picks a windows server with no php support.
see: http://www.clientcopia.com/quote…
I am forced to use asp, a while ago I got the asp scripts working for form mailers on the site, posting the variable from a flash movie...spontaneously they no longer work.
Anyone have any ASP for mailer scripts I could customize. The method this one uses is:
Mailer.SendMail

i'm not sure what functionality you're looking for...is this like a mass mailer, or something?

change servers

If I could change servers I would, then I could use php mail(); without a hitch. The asshat who set them up with this hosting page signed them up for a few years despite me telling them to allow me to pick the host in the first place.
I have a form people can fill out in the flash website to request a quote, and im using loadVariablesNum to post to the asp file.

the host doesn't offer php?
ive had clients switch over within the same company without affecting contracts
thats all i was saying

so, r the variables not being posted to the script?
- NegativeSpace0
Well I tried the old scripts and flash which havent been modified since they were working and they dont work either so I am assuming the variables are getting posted.
Is there a good way to check this?
Also thx for the link cosmo, I am trying a different method of sending the email.

if what was working before doesn't work anymore, then it is entirely possible that it is your mail server that is broken...
- cosmo0
r u using the 'CDONTS' method to mail? i think they newer servers don't support that anymore. so, check up on it.

Originally I was not, was using SMTP instead.
Anyway i can see what flash is outputing from loadVariablesNum to the asp file?
- cosmo0
to be honest, i know very little asp. i just tested the flash script below and it sent out an email, check it out.

1. yes, if you want to see what variables are being output, then just run the script on a php server and have that echo out what it's being fed.
2. like someone else suggested, call the hosting company up. see if they have a server running php that they can switch you over to. if they can't, then ask them for help with the form.
i know we just had the opposite situation where one of our clients was hosted with a 3rd party on a linux box and we had to switch them over to windows/iis because we develop in asp here.

if youre still having problems, email me.

I got the asp to work now with a new script, so I know the problem is not there.
I rewrote the flash to use LoadVars, however I cannot get that to work on inside a movie clip.
If I run the swf on its own, it works fine, but once I load it into a movieclip for the main site, it dosn;t work anymore.
Any idea how I can get LoadVars to work locally?

are your paths right when you call loadvars? or when you are setting the variables? if you're using _root. to access the fields or loadvars, that coud be your problem
it doesnt matter what technology you use, both have advantages and disadvantages....

tell him asp = crap
