Everything I have bought is legit.
I am trying to print from InDesign CS2 to an Epson Stylus PHOTO R1800.
Everytime I try to print - the Epson prin monitor says 'Job Stopped'
Anyone else having the same problem??
I can save as a PDF and them print it from acrobat - this IS NOT ideal
Please help as I am going fucking crazy

I've had simliar problems, I just keep making PDF's, it's good for archive and version control anyways. If you do figure it out let me know.

so am I right in saying you are having the exact problem??
It worked yesterday - nipped to the toilet and came back and would work - bizarre!!
Do you think it may work if I had RIP software and sent it via that rather than the epson Driver??

got the same problem this week with cs2, now it's working again..no idea how it comes...but it sux

I was just going to suggest some decent RIP software, it's AS important as the printer itself if you want full hi-res prints.
If you're just after some quick layouts, use the epson driver.

I use a RIP and I have never encountered that issue, although InDesign makes using the advanced options off the printer rather difficult sometimes.

what RIP do you use?
computerwarehouse sold me POWER RIP - it cost £185.
I did tests from InD and it all worked fine so I figure no need for the rip
However, as someone just said - it happens randomly - it worked fine yesterday - colours were shit bit it worked - now it just dosnt work :(
You spend £1000 on CS on it doesnt work - GREAT

my rip is actually built-in to the back of the printer.

so basically I am fcuk ed ( I think)
Do you think that if I got a RIP it would sort it (possibly)??
