anyone know of any good free ones if possible in flash?
many thanks.

the paypal shopping cart works seperate from your browser... you just have to post a link/form submission to paypal. from what little i know about flash, it should work.

i know you can use your own images instead of their premade buttons, but i've never seen it imbeddedin the site... just always the pop ups.

im in the middle of setting up a shop online at the moment and we've went the paypal route.
looked into other methods but they just cost cash!
paypal offer an offsite basket but it cant talk to our onsite content managemtne system or stock levels so we've built our own basket onsite and once the user clicks "goto checkout" then the paypal popup comes up with the total of their purcheses etc - they can also click to see the details of their order breakdown too.
seems to be working sweetly likes.
a while ago i'd found, from searching on google, a site which had flash buttons to use for paypal items.
you set the parameters of each button per each individual item - looked pretty easy to do and setup. have a look yourself.i just decided not to go with it cos our site is all html

cant you just use a flash kart and then send details over to pay pal like konspracy's html site??

I can link the flash buttons to the paypal cart, popping up every time, but how would you store whats in the cart in flash, and only send the wholelot to paypal when they checkout?

I'm interested in what 3wme says too.

heres the example - the site is live now
http://www.cottonandcanvas.com
we've got a cart on our own site then it transfers all the info to paypal. (the user can get a breakdown of the costs on paypal too if they wish to see more than just the total)
we did it this way so that we can keep track of the stock easier within the content management of the site.

So is it updating the paypal basket when you click on an item, or is it storing all the items and only going to paypal on checkout? I guess I'm asking how you send a basket of stuff to payapal checkout rather than every time you add an item. god I'm rambling. I need a coffee

we are not using the paypal basket we are using our own-built one.
we are only using the paypal checkout.its only when the user clicks to go to the checkout that it sends all the info over.
i never built the thing so im not sure how its done technically.
theres PDF documents on paypal that you can download to take you through step by step what to do.
i had a brief look at it but it went over my head so i just passed it onto our programmer ;)sorry i cant be of more help

cheers, I'll have look
