Hey, it's normal to be defensive about our national sport :)
On another subject,
What's the national sport of the U.S.A.? Baseball? Is it even okay to think about taking baseball out of the Olympics if it's a national sport? Just thinking about it.

who the fuck said anything about it making money... you idiots are talking like lacrosse is some pussy sport... i'd like to see your scrawny ass out there... you'd last all of about 0.01 seconds dipshit.

(Jul 23 05, 17:19)Let's set something straight here...
You're not setting anyone straight chief. We're better at your 'so-called' National sport than you are.

On top of that, so far, no one has even mentioned that 'Lacrosse' is a native Indian game which has absolutley nothing to do with any Caucasian group in Canada or the US.
BTW, I weigh 180 lbs. and most of that is muscle, grew up in predominantly an African-American/White Trash N'hood, which constaltly put me in fights, so the next time you call me a p*ssy do it to my face and watch yourself run from me.

I don't really care much about Ovechkin, according to some analysts he wasn't as good as the number #2 that year, Evgeni Malkin, anyway, so it's all relative. Hockey is all about team chemistry and lines, one reason you see teams shifting things up so much when they are not winning.
We've got an very bright future agead of us and M. Lemieux will be the ship captain.
"Should Malkin, considered by many to be an even better prospect than Ovechkin, be part of the mix the Penguins can expect to find themselves among the most improved teams in the NHL. " - ESPN

We've got Bondra now, I believe. Unless he's been switched again.
I don't care if a sport makes no money. If it's good to me, then it's good to watch and good enough to spend money on.

Slinky,
I remember that year. I lived in DC back then. That was the year the Pens got robbed. They finished dead last and I believe got the number two pick that year.
Ovechkin would have been a nice addition to the Pens...but I'll take sidney crosby instead...

Ay-oh. Oh-ay.

you all forget about the year that wasn;t. that year the Caps draft was awesome, topping off with Alexander Ovechkin... (sp?).. and they might get Bondra back.,.. and we have a LOAD of money to spend under cap.
CAPS Baby!

I just heard the draft news and once again the Hockey Gods have shined on the 'burgh. In the last three drafts, we've had the 1-2-1 spots. I'm predicting dynasty in the upcoming years for my Penguins.

I like them. I didn't like the idea of a shootout at first, but it appears teams will still get a point for making it to overtime. I hope I'm reading this right?
Hopefully they'll really enforce interference in the neutral zone like they say. They talked about it a few years back, but it wasn't enforced very well.

What do you guys think about the rule changes?
