Anyone have any advice on finding cool Freelance work, any sites? any leads are appreciated always, Im just sick of doing boring ass shit work, thanks

find some local companies with shit sites, redesign their homepage or a content page to improve on it and show how it might improve their business then call them up and give them your slick ass sales pitch.
Personally I sit around and wait for people to call me but that doesn't work for everyone.

I hear you on waiting, but DC doesnt havethe best design market, so although theres always work, It usually is conservative and miserable to do, Im looking to build relationships across the country you know what I mean

The waiting bit was just a bit tongue in cheek, I don't really have the time, need or inclination to do much freelance so I take the odd bit that is thrown my way when it comes along which is good for me.
As I don't do full time freelance (or live in the US) I can't speak for your local market but it's an international business and in a lot of occasions in the past I've done work for people I've never met or spoken to on the phone.
You've got to be proactive though, contact local agencies (might be best as then if you need to you can go in and meet them) and see if they're looking for freelancers at the time or in a lot of cases, they'll be happy to keep your details for the future which is how I have built up the few contacts I get work from in the past.
They don't all advertise but for example, http://jobs.preloaded.com/ is a case of what I'm saying, they might have a project for you right away but if your portfolio is up to scratch and you're reliable, there's no reason they might not use you and then as with so many things, once you've done one bit of work well you can be recommended within the market etc etc.
You've got a good looking portfolio of work so good luck with it.
