I'm creating a new logo for a beachclub, but I'm not sure if it's good and which one is the best...
so let me know what you think.
thanks!

i like the first one, but i don't like how there's that little section of orange in the brown part.

I like the typeface, and 2 is probably the best. But it's still like of weak.
- Linda0
ok, I see what you mean, maybe I can leave that empty...thanks

The colors are very "fall"
can you show 25% scale versions too?
and b/w's
thanks

the typeface is wrong. the width of the design to the left of the typeface doesn't match the width of the characters.
- Linda0
why weak?
- moveinspace0
in addition the colors aren't to beachy.
- Linda0
I made the typeface quickly so I have to position it better, but I just want your opinion on the idea ;)
- moveinspace0
2 is the best with the typeface even across the board.

the "e" in element is interesting in that the form matches the design to the left so just tighten it up. Play with the colors and the width of forms. And I'm out.

the icon and type looks very familiar to something. It's not strking and not memorable. for some reason it reminds me of the dixie cup icon
http://www.dixie.com/ I'm not trying to be rude, but that's just what I see.it also looks very 70's /80's. it does have a fashion feel to it. I see those logos on the label of a shirt.
Maybe you should try to capture the feel of the club, do they have a certain concept for the interiors? what type of club would it be? clientale?
- Linda0
The club is very laidback so that's why I wanted to have a seventies look to it. In the club there are a lot of different elements like (dead) wood and asian accessoires and old grandma chairs...so it's a real mix of everything there...that's why it's difficult to set a style for the logo.
here are the b/w and some other colour experiments:

You want something that shows the eclectic feel of the club?
Maybe you should use a design that is less structured and neat. More free flowing, maybe using a handwritten script typeface? something that shows a bit of randomness.

i meant that as in, they use good beachy colors and a nice feel.
- rise0
visually it's not working for me...
- Linda0
yup, it's almost the same...but there are a lot logo's with that certain shape but that's not the point. It's based on the company's philosophy and I think the shapes are perfect for it.

hehe the colors are nice though :P
