i only dislike harry potter because it is so pervasive in our culture.
I used to work by a book store, and when harry potter books came out, it was like a freakin' riot outside...

I thought Harry Potter was stupid at first, which my brother didn't know and ended up buying it for me for my 13th birthday. I love the books. HP is classified as a children's novel, but if you look deeper there are more things to look at. Which is why they have university courses about it. But yeah. If you're just reading it, it's basically for younger people.
