very odd, a freind of mine was on the last carriage at kings cross when the bomb went off and joked with some random guy, the random guy ended up being a my girlfriend's friend's husband's brother. not that remarkable but wierd all the same.

are you in london?

And let us not forget the 250,000 people who turned up for the WWII tribute.
One small mercy is that the events on Thrusday didn't happen on the Wednesday or the Sunday.

I live in London, not only did all that happen but my girlfriend of 3 years is moving out / leaving me. Perfect timing, events that will be spoken of for years to come tied to one of the most painful events of my life.
If I don't go to the pub the terrorists and my girlfriend have won.
To top it off. I'll probably get lung cancer from all the self-medicating i've been doing.
- mirola0
sorry to hear that. don't let the girlfriends win.

It was a shit week, all in all. I somehow suspect that it's to do with having such a good weekend the week before.

girlfriends = terrorists

aw, hang in there, normal. remember the ol' bard, eh?
when troubles come, they come not single spies, but in ten thousands.
it's all a mettle test, and if you think of the stoicism and dignity with which this city faced the blitz (i think it's quite fortuitous that sunday followed directly on the heels of thursday), then you can whip out your stiff upper lip, head down the pub and proudly continue the time-honoured tradition of pluckiness.
