Enter response:
my buddy's got a little 1 year old named 'Lola'...
... he just finished IM'ing about how he just caught the little shit munching on the side of new cabinet he just built...
... and she chases shadows. The most hilarious thing to the non-owners of the dog... but of course Lucas (the owner) just lets out a huge sigh and says 'fuckin' dog'.

my girlfriend's dad breeds and shows them.
we've got a few around here.
weird looking little shits who snort a lot, but damn cute.

boston terriers are great dogs.. seriously the smartest dog i have ever own.. need lots of attention.. they kind of have attitudes.. he has gotten into allot fights over balls.. he will play ball for hours.. they really need a yard to run.. he will freak out and do laps as fast as he can through the yard.. our neighbors liked ours so much they bought two of them. i have a english bulldog also.. makes for a very ugly odd couple.. she poops the bed though.. boston's are great dogs as long as you can handle how annoying they can be..

buddy of mine has one...
overbred dogs, really hard to control. yeah, they're fun, if your idea of fun is trying to keep your dog from humping everything in sight and running under a passing car.
They're very personable, but if you prefer a low maintenance dog, go with something else.

my father-in-law had one and let me tell you the dog was a pain in the ass. chewed up everything in site and then some. he was a terror.

(Jul 5 05, 18:32)too bad you are in the states, a work mate breeds them.
(with one of their own kind, before one of you make a funny comment!)

i'm getting mixed reviews.

i guess what i am saying, 'get one, get it trained.'
- todelete__20
2 of my friends own them. great dogs. absolutely no complaints.
they're a bit fiesty but not nippy or mean. they are full of energy and like to play. one trained it herself and the other took his to puppy school so either way it's a good dog.

there was a guy in my dog training class that had one. Thing was so damn hyper I don't know if it ever put it's front two paws down.

don't be discouraged .. I agree with the above statements.. get it trained.. these dogs have lots of energy.. they begged to be trained.. they are very entertaining.. especially since i talk to my dogs more than people during the day freelancing from home..

one last bump.

i would say:
if the dog's gonna be alone for most of the day at home, don't get one of these.
they're little balls of high energy and love to play...leaving it alone all day would be cruel and lead to some torn up furniture.
- loaf0
you might consider two dogs.. the comments are right about not leaving them home allday by themselves.. we bought the english bull after the boston and they really keep each other busy.. they play nonstop.. after owning two dogs and only one before.. i will always own two dogs.. they really dig playing with each other.. we bought the boston when we still had our rottweiller.. she was 11 at the time.. after we got the puppy you would have thought that old dog was the puppy.. she was really stoked and turned very playful...
