ha ! gotcha ! I bet you thought this was going to be some lazy day talk of the band blur. no !
Why the hell does text in flash still blur, even when it's not anti-aliased ? I have it sitting in on even pixels and everything .. but still, blurry shite ! if it's in a movie clip I guess that doesn't help either does it ? Once I make it selectable text it's fine, althouigh, I need it to be a button, so it can't be selectable. Help would save my sanity. Merci.

what the shit can a man do ? It's not anti-aliased! Does flash still put some anti-aliasing on text even when you select to not anti-alias it ? how many times can I say anti-alias in one sentence ?

wait one minizzle, is it at the correct font size? like miniml fonts are usually 8 points, some other fonts are 10 points

i would double check everything to make certain the you are lined up on even pixels, nothing is stretched/crushed, etc. it might even be easier to rebuild the button from scratch.
if that's not it there are two things i've run across that i haven't been able to fix.
1) sometimes the kerning gets weird after so many characters (since it's a button we can assume this isn't the deal)
2) a co-worker uses flash mx 2004, i just have flash mx. sometimes i need to reexport the files after he works in them. i'm not sure what the deal is. if you have an earlier version of flash i would try that.
