i am trying to run iDVD without at DVD burner on my MAC. Of course it is telling me this and won't let me open the software. Is there any way possible to work with iDVD without DVD-R hardware or am I being retarded?

what do you want to do with iDVD?
doesn't it just play dvds?

iDVD is the dvd authoring program from apple. see> iLife

so how are you going to author a dvd when you don't have a burner?
- arinya0
i wouldn't say ur being retarded but perhaps you are retarded. I'm pretty sure you'll need the hardware to use the software option.

that's harsh arinya, who shrunk your penis?

well hell i was thinking I could, you know, create my project and then tote it on over to a machine with a dvd burner on it and presto! burn the dvd.
I don't feel like it would be asking to much to be able to use the iDVD software on all macs, then you know either find an external burner or save your project to another machine...hear me?
- arinya0
well the other machine would need iDVD no? and if that's the case. Why don't u just do it all on the machine that has both the software and hardware?

ya, it was a good question, never used iDVD before, you could you iMovie or even Final Cut
