I would appreciate some links to dark (like black or blue) corporate websites if there are any. Bright text on dark backgrounds, even in the texty bits. And I don't mean corporate websites as in webdesign corporations.
Thanks.

did you know that traditionally a black background on a website was used exclusively for porn sites?

was or is?

i said was, but i just check that... and well what do you know?

It's easier to read text on a black website though, right?

I mean it's easier to read light coloured text on a black background compared to dark coloured text on a white background. On a computer screen. Your eyes will go all wacko if you turn the lights off. The screen will be way too bright.

I just walked in. I thought the guy was asking about satanic corporate websites or something.

Thank you.
Now give me MORE!

i personally think it's easier to read black text on white vs. white text on black.

I'm not a fan of dark backgrounds online - especially for corporate sites - unless the color is essential to the company identity.

i've been looking around...
alot of corporate sites with darker colourschemes have text in white/light tables when a darker background is used.
white on black, or other light on dark schemes are more common for creative industries; fashion, film (esp. promo sites), etc.

Yeeaaah... that's my experience also. Looks like I'm going that way too, I just wanted to see if there was anything out there.
Thanks, all!
And a classic for the road, allbeit not so "corporate":

If designers made the text/content/images go well with the black backgrounds, it could look really nice.
Otherwise the white bg's will have to do.
