I need to find a good way to store a bunch of records and have been searching for crates or bins online but everything kinda sucks.
anybody got any good leads on how to get a 1000 or so records in manageble storage and still easy to get to?

Yeah. I keep mine in those plastic milk crates. And then I cover them with tarp or cloth when I leave them in storage.
Or I bet a rubbermaid would do yo pretty well, if you wanto to go the expensive route:

I use the old school wooden crates.
Kinda like these http://www.cratecreations.com/St…
But those look a bit nicer than mine. I bought all mine from Peaches Music but i dont think they are in business anymore.

I cant find them anywhere. I've been looking since i saw this post and only found that one link.
You used to be able to buy a kit you put together for like $7.

you could easily make those yourself as well.
if you're that way inclined. :)

thanks designerror..i wanted to point that out..but did not want to sound like a jackass or some snobby record collector. i hate music snobs.
so yeah..i am looking to spend some money. i have all my records in crates now but would like to stack them and organize them for the first time ever. anything from $50-600 would be OK if they looked good and were easily accessible.

we used to go behind super-markets early in the morning and throw a few dozen milk crates in the back of the truck
