are there two different shades of brown here?
I'm using the same png for the background in the flash as I am for the tiled background of the browser... and I have it set to lossless so it's exact...
... but certain people are telling me they see a difference in backgrounds...
- JazX0
two different for sure. match them

sheeeet... hmmm... any suggestions why they wouldn't match?... other than flash being a bitch.. it's the same file.
crap! help! I don't want to ditch this and start over. :(
- JazX0

the background is n flash and is tiled in the html.
It's the same png file.
In flash - it's set to be lossless - I've done this before and it worked fine.
- Witt0
i don't see any difference between them. looks fine here.

yep two dif shades..
why not make your whole BG tile in flash only .. by using a listener on the Stage object.
dunno just a suggestion.
- rabattski0
no two dif shades. same here. nice soothing bg musik btw. now where the fuck did i leave me margharita?
- rabattski0
actually, it's quite weird. during the loading i see two different shades in the bg pattern, after it's loaded it's magically gone. too much margharitatatata?
- emokid0
i see two different shades.
i also see dead people so my opinion doesn't matter much.

- imakedesign0
Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
Stage.align = "TL";
background_mc._width = Stage.width;
background_mc._height = Stage.height;
background_mc.onResize = function() {
background_mc._width = Stage.width;
background_mc._height = Stage.height;
};
Stage.addListener(main_mc);

Maybe I am crazy but why wouldn't you just nix the background in the flash file and set the SWF to wmode="transparent"?

- version30
its the difference between 16bit and 32bit color
i am set at 32 and it was the same
when i switched to 16bit it was noticeable

that fucks up some browsers, i use it for personal stuff now but with clients it seems a little iffy
