hmmm I just ordered my wee puppy and it only has one memory slot so I bought the maximum ram the wee scamp could handle but I realised one other thing peep this you have to buy tools to replace the memory, does anyone know if I bought the tools would I find it easy or will I pure break my thunder cube trying (I'm calling my mac mini thunder cube ok)

you shouldnt need a special tool to put ram in. the mac ram isnt really any different than any other ram, or is it?!?!?

when you open it it's right on the outside easily accessable.
or so the picture in macworld led me to believe.

apparently I have to buy specialised tools to get at my ram

dude, it should say in the manual like with every mac, with nice diagrams and shit. or did they budget cut on the manuals these days?

leave it to apple to do that shit.

Putty Knife - same as the expensive tools you can buy - im assuming you mean to open the casing

it costs a bomb to get the memory put in by apple so you have to get a putty knife to open the outer casing

"easily accessable" ??
getting it open without cracking it is one thing but then you even have to unscrew the bluetooth module just to get the ram out.
i used 4 kitchen knifes, a screwdriver and some improvisation, it's close to operating an infant compared to a powermac

add one blender and buy a PC

I used a putty knife and it took me about 15 minutes.
