strangely when i place an eps of a vector logo into a pic box i get a white background on the image. but a copy and paste brings the image in ok.
anyone know why? (i'm an old quark upgrader)
thanks

it could just be the view you are in. Are you using "typical" or
"high quality"?

Is it from Illustrator?

most likely when you are copying and pasting it is pasting the actual vector paths ( these you can edit directly in InDesign) but when you are iimporting linked eps files the typical view will always give you that white box, but as was already covered you can use the high quality display to view w/ out the box.

nope. it's quite nice and retro to actuallly see this site used for the 'odd' design tip instead of the usual 'my life is so...' tip.
you've kept me from the google search amd i'm thankful.

i agree with MIJA. Does it show that vector as a link when copied and pasted? It shouldn't.
