i have a canon i9100 with PowerRIP, prints borderless A3+ nicely, very accurate in positioning the bleed, unlike the standard driver
the only major limitation is maximum paper length of 112cm, and i guess that's because it would come too close to canon professional proof printers, Epson has nice ones too but i went with canon for once

so it will deffo do A3+??
How much is it?
How much are the cartridges??
Do it drink ink??
Thanks

i cant recommend it because ive never used it but epson has the
photo 2200
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Sto…and a rip for osx
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Sto…looks like you can get both for under a grand. not bad.
here at our office we use the hp130nr. its a big fucker and sucks down the ink. the rip is buggy as hell and there are like 18 different paper options you can buy. and you better chose the right paper in the print dialog box because the print software calibrates the color to the paper.. its quite a chore.
id love to hear some feedback on that epson software.

hello
i have both the canon i9100 (home) and the canon i9900 (work)
i think the i9100 is discontinued and was replaced by the i9900
with the i9100 i experience banding in my prints. this problem isnt there on the i9900.
the 9100 has 6 cartridges
while the 9900 has 8. i think this is what fixed the banding problem.cartridges are $10.50usd-$12.00usd depending on where.
def. does A3+, but i've personally never printed at that size
ink use- i don't have anything to compare to and i didnt really keep track so i'd rather not say
competition is the epson2200 .
i chose the canon because it was around $200 less than the epson.
canon=400something
i have no complaints with canon i9900
