So I was at the store last week and I start talking to this guy in line. I tell him I'm a designer and he says he has an e-commerce nutritional supplement site. He says he has some freelance work available, and he could use someone a few hours a week. I met him last night and it turns out he sells Amway for their new online service Quixtar. He wants me to go to this meeting tonight with a hundred other people, where they will go more in depth into their "products". As soon as I started asking questions like "what does this have to do with freelance design", he told me he had to go and to come to the meeting tonight. Beware the pyramid scheme!

Tell him you're a communist. While yo';re complementing his bulk array of fine designer-knock-off products.

i broke ties with a good friend over that shit.
i told him to quit coming by unless he can talk about something other than "the business"
haven't heard from him in years.

dude. i got suckered into one of those once.
once.
bastard straight lied to me over the phone. he said he got my resume off of monster, they're interested, come in for an interview. mutha f*cka i showed up and there were about 30 other people. FUDGE!
roped in. so i sat there for 5 minutes cause there was this hot chick i had my eye on sitting in the front row next to me. when she got up as part of the demonstration i was like 'ah fuck this!' and got up and left. some douchbag who was working there got in my face as i was leaving trying to get me to stay and i gave him a piece of my mind. 5 other people got up and left too with me.
i hate illinois amway nazis.

Even though I told him I was a designer he must have still thought I was dumb as rocks. He told me that their company Quixtar was partnered with Microsoft and IBM. He said that Microsoft just built their site for them, and it was the biggest website ever built - over 20,000 pages.

one of my friends got into that also. but it was a texas energy pyramid scam. i told him i wasnt interested and havent heard from him since either

Dudes, this is a serious opportunity to change your lives forever. It will teach you discipline, courage and proven sales skillz that will get you where you want to be in life. Anybody who isn't for that is a looooozer!
I'm platinum level III and it WERKZ!!!
I've invited all my friends to a meeting last tuesday, one guy was the president of a bank and he quit his day job after a week of implementing our sales core plus strategies because he's now our top producer in the region grossing over $1200 a week. He does it from the convenience of his own home in his bathrobe.
You can too!
Go make a difference in yours and other people's lives by sharing the business opportunity of a lifetime

I am just kidding. One of my friends got sucked in and it was pretty funny. They seriously cannot stalk about anything else in life.
I smell an opportunity myself, it's the smell of sheep getting ready to be fleeced. I wonder what they'd buy from me.
BTW, interestingly enough, they happen to be the world's largest debt free company for a reason. No bank would ever loan them money because they're technically insolvent.
Baaaaaa.
