Market research.

Build [Limited edition] design screenprinted skateboard deck*
-
What would be a decent price for one of these? Is there a small market for this? I think there are enough people who would be interested in 'not the usual' skateboard designs.
-
Thoughts please.
Best.

Do I?

- designerror0
Yes you do!
but pricewise, anything under 100 bucks would make me buy one, signed or not, the last 1 deck cost me that
- imakedesign0
i would be very intrested.
designerror where do you buy your decks from?

So there's a deck collection fetish going on? I think this would be mainly for BUILD fans wouldn't it?
Although there are plenty of BUILD fans who are not designers.
Apart from skating a deck, I don't think I would venture to buy one.
Skate decks run upwards of fifty bucks. I would say you could sell it for the price of a complete.
Anywhere from 80 USD to over 100 USD.

BUILD, if your is not familiar in the skate world, it's sure to be well received.
Have you considered going further than just a limited edition?
I think stopping at limited, however, is golden.

in a local skate store called smash imake.. why?

Not neccesarily, everyone likes a nice design don't they?, whether they like our work or not. I just think that having a deck that isn't your usual 'skate design' would be nice, in the same vein have you seen the Peter Saville designs for Supreme?

i agree with dan-dan-dan, that i don't think people other than designers would buy them (as we are fans of build). i think 100USD would be a accurate price (& definately signed). girl & chocoalte (skateboards) have the same respect in the skate community as build does in the design community.
- imakedesign0
just looking for a new deck, cant find any nice ones online.
- dan_dan_dan0
Girl and Chocolate have beautiful decks.
No. I have not seen Saville's work with Supreme.
